DE-NO-SYS, three syllables that stand for Death Notification System.

It is the English translation of the software that Eylül uses in her daytime doctor job to report the passings of individuals. Her experience working in rural medicine and regularly conducting postmortem examinations reshaped her artistic identity in unimaginable ways, causing a shift from the bright, folky and acoustic tunes she played under the name Ellyn Storm to dark, melodic and synth-driven songs.

From that transformation came Denosys and her debut album Death Notification System, a record born from long nights on-call and confronting mortality daily.
